I'm so excited to be able to squeeze in a class for July! I hope you'll join us as we decorate 6 4th of July themed cookies at Open Door Tea in Stratford, CT on July 3rd from 3-6PM!
This class will be geared towards more experienced decorators and beginners, and differentiated options will be taught in class.
*Cost of admission includes one drink ticket for wine or tea
*Additional food and drink items will be available for purchase
In this class, we will go step-by-step through the process of learning how to decorate a set of cookies using royal icing. At the end of the course, you will walk away with all the cookies you decorated and a cutout cookie recipe to try at home.
Techniques taught in class will include:
- how to cut and use tipless piping bags.
- how to use different icing consistencies.
- how to outline cookies using "outline consistency" icing.
- how to flood cookies using "flood consistency" icing.
- how to use "wet-on-wet" techniques.
- pressure piping.
- how to flood separate sections to create dimensional details.
- and much more!
